Dicky White's Lane

Discovered whilst on an aimless meander through the streets of Launceston Tasmania - no ambition shown with this example of nearly cock-dom. In the UK we would have added a blue plaque for all the tourists, telling travellers about Dicky White and the exploits that led to him having a small ginnell named after him.

Charles Dickens

In Melbourne town centre. No more explanation needed - the world's greatest Dickensian author reduced to a figure of fun by an easily distracted British tourist with nothing better to do than go cocking 10,000 miles from home

Prickly Cactus

A restaurant selling Mexican refried beans and other such tosh in Launceston Tasmania again.

Nobby's Nuts

Kindly provided in the mini bar of the Grand Chancellor Hotel in Launceston Tasmania. Couldn't afford to eat them, so I took a picture of them and chuckled about them being called nob instead!
